cincinnati is a pb community set in the bustling city of cincinnati, ohio. we strive to be a highly active group that centers around character development and interaction. let’s face it, these days comms die out fairly quick, but we are here as a dedicated team, driven to create a welcoming space and maintain a high level of activity through weekly ffas and a variety of events for all characters to participate in. while our main purpose is to have fun, every player is responsible for interacting with others, answering and giving comments, and reaching out to characters outside of romantic lines.

while all forms of ic drama are encouraged, ooc drama will not be tolerated. we expect everyone to treat each other with respect and act like adults. any line-crossing, harassment, and/or godmodding may lead to removal and a ban from the community at the mods' discretion.

to apply is simple! you must have an ic journal without any extra letters, numbers, or underscores. you’ll need a backdated ooc and ic contact post and either a blurb or a few (4-5) bullet point facts about your character. we hope to see your character developing in-game through narratives, updates and interactions with others!

examples are required. we ask for a minimum of one scene with five or more replies along with a narrative and a journal update. when applying. please provide your best examples so we can decide whether you are a good fit for the community. with that said, we reserve the right to reject any applications deemed unfit for the atmosphere of our community. however, if there is something in your application that can be easily fixed, we will notify you via pm.

we're going to try something a little different with intros here. every week we'll have a different intro theme, and each new character is expected to post in fountainsquare with a short (~1-5 sentence) personal story as well as a question relating to that theme. you have 72 hours from the date you are accepted to post your intro and begin to answer comments.

activity is due on the last day of every month. members are expected to drop links to their activity in the member's dropbox.

activity requirements: each month, you are responsible for one moderately substantial update. this includes any kind of narrative, blog-style entry, media update with a written portion, etc. anything that shows a little bit of effort and some character development. instagram posts and playlists by themselves will not count. if you're not sure about an update, just ask!

substitutions: as mentioned previously, we hope to have a variety of comm-wide events regularly hosted by both the mods and the players. these may include ffas, group meetups, city events, and anything else you can dream up. hosting an event and setting up an ooc plot post or ic group thread may be substituted for your update. only events that are open to ALL characters will count towards activity.

interaction: in addition to the update requirements, the mods will be keeping an eye on everyone's general activity level. this will not be a comm that allows its members to scrape by with only the bare minimum. this is not a place to house your psls and ignore everyone else. we expect that everyone will do their part to branch out, interact with their fellow community members, and keep the fp active and engaging. if we see anyone consistently failing to comment and engage with others outside of their own posts, that will be grounds for removal. we will be fair about this, and we certainly don't expect you to comment every post, but a little effort goes a long way.

note: if you are accepted on or after the 15th your intro is the only activity required for that month.
